Box Tops for Education

Did you know that Bidwell School saves box tops?  They can be found on many products (cereal, granola bars, snacks, etc.).  Our school gets money for each little box top we send in. Last year we earned $2000.  Our goal this is to earn $5000.  The money will be used for playground equipment that all the kids will be able to enjoy.  Check those boxes, clip those tops, and send them in to school!  You can check the status of our goal by clicking the link below.

Were you able to make it to the annual Harvest Carnival?  If you could not be here you missed out on all the fun.  There were all kinds of games, food, raffles, and plenty of fun and excitement.  VIBES, Bidwell's volunteer group, did an amazing job pulling together a great event.  It is something the kids and families look forward to every year.  This year they were not disappointed.  Mrs. Bywater spent and hour and forty-five minutes in the dunk tank!  A trip to Disneyland was raffled off (as well as MANY other exciting prizes).  Photos were taken, Ice cream, popcorn and hot dogs were eaten.  Cakes were won.  Music was pumping.  A great time was had by all!

A great BIG shout out of GRATITUDE to VIBES for their tireless efforts to raise money for field trips for our kids.  VIBES is the BEST!

In the last couple of weeks Mr. Weir and Miss Donovan's classes have led the Friday Morning Line-Up.  Mr. Weir's class shared the Wonder of their favorite precepts.  Throw kindness around like confetti.  Treat others the way you want to be treated.  Kindness is like water, we need it everyday.  Precepts are words to live by.  They play a predominant role in the book, Wonder, by R.J. Palacio, which all the fourth grade teachers read to their classes.

Miss Donovan's class shared the importance of being a member of a community, whether it is a classroom, a school, a state, or a country.  We should all be a positive member of the communities of which we are a part.

Bidwell meets together as a school every Friday morning to celebrate with each other and learn from one another.  Parents are always welcome to attend.
